The Testing Engineer – Transformer Testing is responsible for carrying out routine, type, and special tests on power and distribution transformers in accordance with applicable standards (IEC / IS / IEEE). The role ensures product quality, safety, and compliance before dispatch and during customer inspections.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine tests on power and distribution transformers.

Prepare and verify test reports, calculations, and compliance documents.

Ensure testing is performed as per IS, IEC, IEEE standards and customer specifications.

Coordinate with quality, design, and production teams to resolve test deviations.

Support customer inspections, third-party inspections, and audits.

Maintain and calibrate testing instruments and equipment.

Follow safety procedures during high-voltage testing and ensure safe test bay operations.
Qualifications

Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical Engineering

Knowledge of transformer construction and testing principles

Familiarity with relevant standards
